From meaningful conversations and industry insights to new friendships and friendly faces, this exhibition was very fulfilling. It reinforced our belief that the future of packaging still is indeed all about innovation, sustainability, strong global partnerships and worldwide influence.

At SIGEP 2026, we encountered different friends from all over the world in various industries,such as passionate food and snack brands owners,bakery and confectionery manufacturers,importers,packaging specialists and material innovators, etc.

This diverse global presence made SIGEP not only a products show, but also a hub of ideas, trends, and future-oriented discussions.We obtained a lot from this exhibition and will improve our mind,broaden our vision.

Through hundreds of conversations and on-site wonderful discussions for couple days, some characteristics stood out in trend clearly which the consumers are seeking for:

Rising Demand for Sustainable Packaging

In recent times, more and more brands are moving toward environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging solutions.

PACKMIC can make various laminated pouches including sustainable eco-friendly packaging, compostable packaging bags and recycle bags. Some recycle solutions are more cost-effective compared to traditional laminates versions, with other types of packaging being more effective at preserving goods for transport and display.Along with keeping required long shelf life and security, it is using forward-thinking innovation to secure perishables and maintain food and non-food product integrity. By making the transition to a single type of plastic (mono-material packaging structure), the ecological impact of the pouches or film is significantly diminished, and it is also easy to recycle with soft plastic recycling facilities.

Compared this to the conventional packaging equivalent (which cannot even be recycled as it has multiple layers of different types of plastic), and you have a sustainable solution already available on the market in market for your “green eco-consumer”. Now we are ready.

The amount of overall plastic waste is reduced by removing the standard Nylon, Foil, Metalized and PET layers. Instead, our pouches can use a revolutionary single-layer construction so that consumers can simply pop pouches into their household soft plastic recycling container.

By using a single material layer only, the pouch can be easily sorted and then recycled without the risk of any pathway contamination.
