FAQ

General Customization & Ordering

1. What exactly can be customized on the packaging film?
We offer a wide range of customization options to make your product stand out:

Printing: Full-color graphic design, logos, brand colors, product information, ingredients, QR codes, and barcodes.

Film Structure: Choice of materials (see below) and number of layers to provide the right barrier for your product.

Size & Shape: We can produce films in various widths and lengths to fit your specific bag dimensions and automated machinery.

Finishing: Options include matte or glossy finish, and the ability to create a "clear window" or fully printed area.

  1. What is the typical Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
MOQs vary based on the complexity of the customization (e.g., number of colors, special materials). However, for standard printed rolls, our typical MOQ starts from 500 kg to 1,000 kg per design. We can discuss solutions for smaller runs for emerging brands.

3. How long does the production process take?
The timeline typically involves:

Design & Proof Approval: 3-5 business days (after you finalize the artwork).

Plate Engraving (if needed): 5-7 business days for new designs.

Production & Shipping: 15-25 business days for manufacturing and delivery.
Total lead time is generally 4-6 weeks from confirmed order and artwork approval. Rush orders may be possible.

4.Can I get a sample before placing a large order?
Absolutely. We highly recommend it. We can provide a pre-production sample (often digitally printed) for you to approve the design and a finished product sample from the actual production run to test on your machinery and with your product.

Material, Safety, & Freshness

5. What types of film are best for coffee beans?
Coffee beans are delicate and require specialized barriers:

Multi-layer Polyethylene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP): The industry standard.

High-Barrier Films: Often include EVOH (Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol) or metallized layers to block oxygen and moisture, which are the main enemies of fresh coffee.

Integral Valves: Essential for whole bean coffee! We can incorporate degassing (one-way) valves that allow CO₂ to escape without letting oxygen in, preventing bags from bursting and preserving freshness.

6. What types of film are suitable for dry food products (snacks, nuts, powder)?
The best material depends on the product's sensitivity:

Metallized PET or PP: Excellent for blocking light and oxygen, perfect for snacks, nuts, and products prone to rancidity.

Clear High-Barrier Films: Great for products where visibility is key.

Laminated Structures: Combine different materials for superior strength, puncture resistance, and barrier properties (e.g., for sharp or heavy products like granola or tortilla chips).

  1. Are the films food-safe and compliant with regulations?
Yes. All our films are manufactured in FDA-compliant facilities and are made from food-grade materials. We can provide necessary documentation and ensure our inks and adhesives are compliant with regulations in your target market (e.g., FDA USA, EU standards).

8. How do you ensure the packaging keeps my product fresh?
We engineer the film's barrier properties specifically for your product:

Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR): We select materials with a low OTR to prevent oxidation.

Water Vapor Transmission Rate (WVTR): We choose films with a low WVTR to keep moisture out (or in, for moist products).

Aroma Barrier: Special layers can be added to prevent the loss of precious aromas (critical for coffee and tea) and to prevent odor migration.

Logistics & Technical

9. How are the films delivered?
The films are wound onto sturdy 3" or 6" diameter cores and shipped as individual rolls. They are typically palletized and stretch-wrapped for secure shipping worldwide.

10. What information do you need from me to provide an accurate quote?
Please provide the following:

Product type (e.g., whole coffee beans, roasted nuts, powder).

Desired film material or required barrier properties.

Finished bag dimensions (width and length).

Film thickness (often in microns or gauge).

Print design artwork (vector files preferred).

Estimated annual usage or order quantity.

  1. Do you help with the design process?
Yes! We have an in-house design team that can help you create or optimize your artwork for print on flexible packaging. We can also advise on the best print areas and technical specifications for your bag-making machinery.

  1. What are my options for sustainability?
We offer a range of more eco-conscious solutions:

· Recyclable Polyethylene (PE) Monomaterials: Films designed to be more easily recycled in existing streams.

· Bio-based or Compostable Films: Films made from plant-based materials (like PLA) that are certified industrially compostable (note: this is not suitable for coffee as it requires a high barrier).

· Reduced Plastic Use: Optimizing film thickness without compromising integrity.
